Weekly Worship

During the school year, from September to up until June, we have regular Sunday Morning worship at 8:30 a.m. and at 11:00 a.m. with regular hospitality/ fellowship following each service.  In between the two services, Sunday School and Adult Forum activites are held.  There is something for everyone and child care by trained attentants for those small children who need it. Children, of course, of all ages are always welcomed in worship. In fact, The children's message is a is a favorite of the whole congregation!

Summer  Beginning in June through the 3 summer months, we have a more casual worship experience better suited for our Cape Cod way of life.   The Wednesday evening service is at 7:00 pm and we have a potluck fellowship beginning at 6:00 pm.  Sunday Morning service @ 9:30 a.m. is the usual full service with fellowship following.  Child care is available for Sunday service but not Saturday eve.

Special Services:  During Advent and Lent we often offer Wednesday services, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, and Holy Week services on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and on Satuday Night, the Easter Vigil.

Our Worship Tradition:

As Lutherans, we are a "liturgical" church that worships in the manner that the church has done for centuries.  The liturgy - the work of the people -  is very traditional, yet our practice is contempoary.  Each Sunday's worship is based on a common lectionary which is used not only by Lutherans but many other churches as well which gives us a sense of common experience with others even though they are not in our building.
